MTEL-Flex History/Social Science (916 & 917)

Candidates who register for this option are required to prepare an organized, developed analysis on a topic related to Objective 0014 of the History/Social Science test framework.

Candidates will select a content standard appropriate for fifth through twelfth grade found in the Massachusetts History and Social Science Curriculum Framework – 2018 and an annotated primary source appropriate for fifth through twelfth grade suggested in Appendix D (pp. 201–217) of the Massachusetts History and Social Science Curriculum Framework – 2018 to address a discipline-specific inquiry question they create.
